Alterations of Exceptional
Craftsmanship
Garrett Bazzle hails from the golden state of California, where he was raised by a single mother alongside his sister in the Central Valley. Garrett’s mother was a strong and resourceful woman, who made it a point to prepare her son for adulthood by teaching him certain crucial life skills. From an early age, Garrett was responsible for numerous domestic tasks, from doing laundry, to dishes, and general housekeeping. The task that left the strongest impression was sewing, and it was only a matter of time before this responsibility blossomed into a true passion.
Garrett’s penchant for sewing led him to Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, a professional presenting and training resident theatre company in Santa Maria. Following his time at the conservatory, he moved to San Diego to pursue his Bachelor of Art in Design Technology for Theatre with a focus in Costumes. After graduating from San Diego State University, Garrett went on to work at numerous theaters, including the Old Globe in Balboa Park and Cygnet Theatre in Old Town. Garrett has also worked at an alteration shop, and as a tailor for the United States Navy.
After spending 6 years in San Diego, Garrett had outgrown the town. He knew that in order to pursue his dream of costumes and tailoring that he must go to New York City. He was offered a position at a prestigious Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown and moved to the city shortly after. Since then, Garrett has worked for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for two seasons, and Off Broadway on the production of The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
Like so many others, Garrett’s theatre career was put on pause with the arrival of the pandemic. He naturally pivoted away from the performing arts by combining his tailoring skills with his love of helping people. Garrett derives true satisfaction from seeing his clients feel comfortable in what they wear. His passion, experience, and love of the craft inspired him to establish Bazzle Dazzle LLC, A Tailoring Company.
